MotoHawk Scanner
The MotoHawk Scanner is a useful tool when you have to work with a module with unknown programming. Instead of guessing the city ID until finding one that works or using a boot key to reflash the module, you can just use the MotoHawk Scanner to determine which city ID the module is on, then interact with it in MotoService or MotoTune using that city ID.
To use this tool, make sure the following are completed:
- The Kvaser CAN-to-USB hardware is plugged into your PC, and your PC recognizes the hardware.
- The CAN network has a proper termination resistor between the two CAN lines (120Ω).
- The controller is turned on (battery power and/or key switch) and has proper CAN connection.
When using MotoHawk Scanner make sure no other programs are using the CAN bus, for example Mototune or Kvaser CANKing. If another program besides MotoHawk Scanner is on the bus, the scanner might not work.
Kvaser DBC File Editor
The File Editor allows the user to modify and create *.dbc files.
