Snippet of engine control offering
Incorporate and / or modify existing New Eagle High Level Software / Controls (feedforward and feedback controls) for the specific application, and develop new functionality as required:
- Airflow Control, including airflow and air charge estimation, airflow and throttle control, and learning / adaptive algorithms.
- Fuel Control, including injector characterization, injector timing, steady state "open loop" fueling, transient "open loop" fueling, "closed loop" fueling, and learning / adaptive algorithms.
- Ignition timing and dwell control, including "open loop" scheduling and "closed loop" control via knock sensor (if equipped), and learning / adaptive algorithms.
- "Supervisory" type functions, including interpretation of operator requests, engine speed closed loop feedback, engine torque characterization and response to requests, torque management / limiting.
- Implementation of diagnostics and "limp home" responses to ensure maximum availability to the customer in the case of a failure, to aid in servicing of the engine, in conformance to appropriate safety / emissions regulations, and to identify / respond to any additional failure modes as specified by the DFMEA .
- Control of any other devices specific to this application (e.g. emissions devices, boost control for turbocharger applications, etc.)
