Engine Control Injector Drivers
The NIRA i7 controller platform has a stand-alone slave driver option. The injector driver version controls fuel pressure, fuel injection, idle speed, boost pressure and several other engine functions.
The i7 driver receives a drive signal from an engine controller and drives the injector.
Example MotoHawk Application
The following document depicts the NIRA i7-rp module being used as an injector driver in series with a ECM-0565-128-0701-F. The control runs off of the ECM whose outputs are ported to the i7-rp which has the driving capabilities for piezoelectric injectors. This setup is idea for applications that utilize existing MotoHawk hardware and would like to add the benefits of an i7 module. The system can control up to 6 piezoelectric injectors from the i7-rp and 6 solenoid injectors from the i7-rs.
