Overview

The RCM80 is a Raptor general-purpose control module with four CAN buses, one LIN Master/Slave and configurable discrete inputs and outputs including analog inputs, frequency inputs, a wake input, high- and low-side driver outputs, and temperature sensor inputs.

The RCM80 is one of the Raptor rugged production controllers that use a software development process based upon MATLAB/Simulink, Raptor-Dev. Raptor-Dev significantly speeds up algorithm development by using automatic integration and code generation. In addition, developers can quickly test application software using simulation and automated testing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The most up to date ECU information is found on the support portal

Q: What is not supported with the RCM80-2005

A: The RCM80-2005 is an A-Sample unit that does NOT support frequency_in measurement capability on DG 9.
It also does NOT contain Flyback Diodes on the PWM outputs.
Furthermore LIN1 is ONLY capable of LIN Master (hardware issue).

Q: What is new with the RCM80-2106

A: The RCM80-2106 is a B-Sample unit that resolves issue found in the RCM80-2005 A samples.
It fully implements Frequency measurement capabilities on DG9.
Additionally, Flyback Diodes have been implemented on all HSOs and LSOs.
Lastly LIN1 is capable of LIN Master AND LIN Slave (Software Selectable).

Q: What is new with the RCM80-2203

A: The RCM80-2203 is a C-Sample unit. There is a Substantial change in the power architecture (External Main Power Relay REQUIRED for driving external loads.)
There have been adjustments in QUANTITY of IO and changes to the PIN-OUT.
Reference Datasheet for specific changes to ensure unit continues to meet IO needs.
