Supervisory Controller
Supervisory Control Software
New Eagle has created a software template to enable rapid electric vehicle development. It is designed to interface with a variety of EV components and serves as a solid foundation for future development. The software includes validated startup/shutdown sequencing, torque management, component control and diagnostic strategies. It is available for either the Raptor or MotoHawk toolchains, and New Eagle will work with the customer to specify an appropriate controller based on the customer's requirements. New Eagle offers two options for providing the EV supervisory software template.
New Eagle Maintains Code
In the first option, New Eagle will customize the template according to the customer's requirements. Source code is kept and maintained by New Eagle. Typically, the software and calibration modifications require additional support from New Eagle in the form of an engineering contract. This option also includes a software license fee in any production supply agreement.

Customer Maintains Code
In the second option, the customer purchases and receives the template source code (this includes the project directory and MATLAB® Simulink® files). This range of High Voltage DC/DC products is designed to satisfy the current trend to use higher battery voltages between 108VDC and 800VDC which are converted to lower voltages to power ancillary loads. Options include nominal 12VDC output, with exact output voltage set using a CAN communications command.
The products can satisfy a range of power requirements from 1kW to 12kW (when paralleled only). The High Voltage DC/DC range is designed to offer full performance across the temperature range of -40°C to +45°C (air-cooled) and -40°C to +65°C (liquid-cooled). It has many protection features, such as input UVLO, input OVLO, input reverse polarity, current limit, output short-circuit and over-temperature. The CAN communications features allow the units to be enabled and disabled with communications messages.
